Missed FG due to a Dallas Fan Distraction?

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I was thinking about Super Dome fans. They voted to keep the crunk song that just doesn't do it anymore and has been played out to the point of vomit. It's like when The Fonz jumped the shark. I think ...

It's like when The Fonz jumped the shark.
I think MOST not all season ticket holders are more casual fans who are awesome at supporting their team but the majority don't know the game like people on this board.
I love the Dome and love going to games now and then for the fun, comeratery and the feeling of being a part of something. That being said a game or two a season is enough for me. I would rather watch on TV so I can see what's going on and plays develop.

Hocker as a whole looks a lot better than that at least.
This. The timing looked off but Hocker will no doubt get all the blame. An experienced kicker, though, doesn't let that bother them & still gets it done. Our Special Teams (lead by Teflon Don Greg McMahon) is garbage and we seem to have at least ONE bone head play per game that somehow affects the outcome of every game.

Gotta cut the kid some slack as it was his first clutch kick in the Dome in OT in Prime Time against The Jerrahs. He'll be fine once he makes the next clutch kick and restores confidence.

Hocker's first time in that situation as a rookie. that was his one get out jail free card. Thankfully, we both still ended up winning and he learned a game time lesson that will never leave him.

What if: The kick is good, the Saints kick off. Dallas returns the ball to their own 45 yd line. A draw play gets them 7 yards. Weeden drops back and beats Breaux again as time expires! Chalk up yet another "Moral" victory!

Did I get pissed when he missed that 30 yard straight down the middle chip shot, hell yeah I did but as all great coaches will say: one play doesn't decide the outcome, its several things that should have taken place before we got into needing a fg. Can anyone explain why sp called a time out to challenge the reception in the endzone? I felt if we had that time out we could have ran another play on third down leaving approx. 2 secs on the clock then he kicks it. maybe he makes it maybe he doesn't but I felt bad while the fg unit were taking the field if he didn't miss it I felt they would have thrown up a hail marry or something. it was just an awkward feeling to kick a fg on 3rd with 16 secs left.
Sooooo, if I understand correctly, you're a 'great coach' and had a better grasp of the situation than SP? (notice how I use correct capitalization & punctuation to get my point across?)

Just looking for clarification, bub. Miami is looking for a new H/C, don't you know ... might wanna' submit a resume, .

Here's what plenty of people don't realize. All kickers go through spurts when they miss kicks. Here you just called Bryant money and yes I would have to agree with you since he's been with Atlanta he has been. But take a look at his playing career. He was cut twice in his younger days for missing kicks. I say give the kid a chance. You can work on accuracy.

I say leave to the guys on terraces to give the biggest drunk a good kicking

Look if there are no American Football kickers out there, take a Rugby League kicker.
