Unfortunately I think we all got that message. We may not be the smartest fans in the league but we get Dat!

Maybe I am being captain obvious here but isn't that just what the Saints did this past off season? Moving on from a bad Jimmy Graham contract for a guy who could help keep Brees alive and getting an extra impact draft pick, moving on from veterans like Ben Grubbs for extra draft picks and unloading bad character people regardless of the salary cap implications. Drafting the only QB in team history in the first 3 rounds of a draft since Archie Manning. Many of their free agent signings were short term deals as stop gaps hoping to avoid impact on the future. The remaining albatross is Byrd (pun intended).

These to me were all off season moves with a common motive of sucession planning of this team. This off season had a long term appearance where many previous off seasons had a go for it this year mentality.

Nailed it! :stupid:
We took action to right the ship this offseason and are beginning to reap the rewards now. We drafted better than any time since Payton's first draft and our injured players are returning to the field.

We are a much better team than the end of last year......and with a ton of young potential we have a chance to fix this slow start.
