Standout stats

After 4 games in the 2015 season there are a few stats that jump of the sheets. Here are a few that caught my eye.

Willie Snead-- a undrafted free agent and long shot to make the roster has more receiving yards and TDs than any other WR.

Zero-- the number of interceptions through 4 games.

Mark Ingram-- currently leads the team in receptions and has the highest targets to reception rating.

Brandin Cooks-- has the worst success rating ratio for targets vs receptions.

Rushing attack-- this is the worst rushing offense the Saints have had in the last 10 years.

Best standout stat-- our best defensive player is not only a Linebacker but also a rookie!

Re: Standout stats

Ingram doesn't run like Pierre doesn't seem to have that second gear.
Willie is a diamond in the rough love the way he plays.
The INT's or lack of them is killing us as well as the DB's
increasing amount of penalties.

Re: Standout stats

Not getting much from front four.
Paying no dividends in the back four.
Below average effort from O-line.
Below average result from running and passing game.
Rushing deficit is 162 yards over 4 games.
WE need to own the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball.
Our success rate will turn on that dime.

Re: Standout stats

I feel like NFL teams rarely do this, but I really wish Payton would incorporate some sets with both Khiry and Ingram in the backfield. It would allow us to use Khiry for runs, Ingram for screens. Then confuse defenses when we switch their rules. Imagine Spiller back there with one of those two as well.

Is that a dumb suggestion. I feel like its to obvious of a solution.

I'll take that one step farther for you. Put Spiller in the backfield with Robinson or Ingram. I thought the point of bringing Spiller in was to use him like Bush and Sproles? I swear we had them lined up with other backs in there on many occasions.

We often had them lined up in the slot and motioning toward the QB. Many times we would fake the end-around to Bush and Deuce would hit the middle or it would be a PA fake. Our Offense was so much more dynamic. Bottom line with that situation is we need to use Spiller much more often.

Re: Standout stats

I thought the Saints drafted Brandon Cooks as a deep threat. But in 4 games he's only had 3 receptions over 10 yards.
