Sean Payton back in the saddle

Lord have mercy!!! Just when I thought Sean Payton had hung up his gunslinger cleats -- here he comes with the hard count, then the pitch and catch into the end zone and the roll outs!!! Oh baby!!! It ain't over till the fat lady sings and SP shut her up last night.

It really was a strong game plan. It pretty much said last night we can't protect the pocket so guess what, let them have it. We'll make coin outside of it.

4th down TD, not playing percentages either. That's how you change games. He went with his gut. They would likely play run and regardless, the D was getting pressure. Do it.

They rolled out a ton behind Evans and Strief and avoided the Hills/Kelemete side of the field.

Rolling out to avoid pressure. You think he watched the Indy vs Houston game?

You know, we were talking about that towards the end of last season...

Not only does rolling out relieve some of the pocket pressure Drew was under...

But it also alleviates some of that nervousness that Drew gets right before his untimely pick-6's...

Plus at Drew's age, it doesn't hurt to get the blood flowing...;)

If it works for a 40 yr. old Hasselbeck, it'll work for Brees. A side note tickets for tomorrow nights game Patriots vs Colts are going for $600 a seat!

I don't know that it will do them any good to prepare for the roll out. You have to spread your defense to protect the outside, but if they do that, then Brees can just sit pretty in the middle.

As long as the Saints adjust to wherever the pressure is coming from, it will help tremendously. I don't want to see Drew go back to just standing around.

I'm still giddy over the energy I saw from the D Line...man...but we just need to see that the offense actually has a game plan and I think they will be fine..

My concern is still the running game. We need to change the scheme to fit the players we have, we can't zone block for ****.

Let's get past the Colts before we give SP his tin star.

Partly because of who was on the line but probably even more because its a lot easier for a QB to roll out and throw to the right.
