New Orleans Saints sign Brian Dixon's twin brother to practice squad
 

The New Orleans Saints have added Brian Dixon's twin brother Brandon to their practice squad, according to a league source.

The 25-year-old Dixons are both cornerbacks who played at Northwest Missouri State.

Brian is in his second year on the Saints roster after signing as an undrafted free agent in 2014.

Brandon was a sixth-round pick of the New York Jets in 2014 but failed to make the roster. He was quickly signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he played 14 games in 2014.

After being waived by the Bucs in September, Brandon has been on the practice squads of the Seattle Seahawks, Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots in 2015. The Saints are his sixth NFL organization.

The addition of a second Dixon is one of several moves made by the Saints this week.

The team also waived fullback Austin Johnson and safety Akeem Davis; placed running back Khiry Robinson on the injured reserve list; signed running back Tim Hightower and receiver T.J. Graham; and released defensive back Sammy Seamster from the practice squad.

The signing of Dixon gives the Saints a full 10-man practice squad with one
vacancy remaining on the 53-man roster.
