Saints bring in some linebacker depth, sign James Anderson
 

The Saints have been banged up at linebacker, so they went and found some veteran help.

Via Katherine Terrell of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, the Saints have signed veteran linebacker James Anderson.

Anderson’s a 10-year vet who began his career with the Panthers, so he’s a guy they’re familiar with. Anderson’s versatile enough to play multiple spots, which might help the Saints.

They were without strongside linebacker Hau’oli Kikaha, weakside linebacker Dannell Ellerbe, and backup Ramon Humber last week, leaving Michael Mauti and David Hawthorne to start against the Titans.

Anderson has also played with the Bears, Patriots, Cowboys, Falcons and Titans.

With all these LB's being signed, I guess the Saints will be starting 11 LB's very soon!

While on the subject of D, I hope the Saints put boxing gloves on Browner during the entire game with the Skins! The guy has not seen a jersey he does not like to grab! #enoughalready

Hopefully we get Ellerbe back on Sunday.

Our depth is not very good at the position.

What a season its been so far!

I realise it can't be helped due to the amount of injuries we are carrying (again) this season but players are in and out of the line up like its going out of fashion!

Makes it very hard for the team to gel when the line up changes as much as this from week to week!
