Former New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator Rob Ryan hasn't lost his quick wit.

Ryan, as a guest analyst during the four-hour NFL Network pregame show, said the Saints' loss at Washington last week "made my bye week turn into a bye-bye week."

The line was one of a few quips during his first hour on the program.

He early in the show said it was his "first time in makeup, publicly or privately."

He also projected the Buffalo Bills to win Monday against the New England Patriots. "Rex is going to have that team ready to go," Ryan said about his twin brother, Rex, who coaches the Bills.

Ryan later projected Washington quarterback Kirk Cousins to throw two touchdown passes Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.

He should be fired from the NFL network for the Katrina remark. Easy for him to joke. Where's the outrage? The mayor should demand an apology. Ironic all the hoops jumped through and $$$$$ spent by the NFL to save the dome and Saints and now he's a spokesman for them.
