Another player the Saints should have tried to keep.

It was fitting that, on the night the Packers retired the number of quarterback Brett Favre, a player responsible for one of Favre’s most notorious interceptions not only played in the game — but also made an interception of Favre’s successor.

Tracy Porter, who nearly six years ago kept Favre from returning to the Super Bowl as a member of the Vikings after Favre forced an ugly cross-body throw into coverage while in field-goal range, picked off Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers late in the fourth quarter, killing Green Bay’s next-to-last drive of the game in a 17-13 loss.

Well done TP. We (Saints fans) will always remember his heroics in the Minnesota NFC TITLE game and subsequent SB win.

Hell I'd take him right now over Brandon Browner every day of the week ;).

He was a beast last night! I had a blast watching that. But let's be honest, there was no reason to keep him at the time. He couldn't get on the field with all the injuries.

Tracy was far too inconsistent in his final years here

They said the same thing when he was in Denver, 2 picks one game, then got burned for 3 long TD's the next.

I'll never forget what he did for us. Still he isn't worse than Brandon Browner.

I just wished he had been able to play like that here. It just goes to show you what experience and coaching will do for a player. Either he was a late bloomer or he just needed good coaching.

His best years were with the Saints. Never played in more than 14 games in any of the his 4 seasons here. He's played 77 out of 128 games in his career 43 of those with the Saints. 7 of his 11 INT's were as a Saint.

I miss Tracy Porter. He was inconsistent, but Browner has been flat out poo. I'd take Patrick Robinson back.

Prince Amukamara is a free agent next year. He should be a priority.
