Wow that was stale. Now I think I need to listen to Herm Edwards "You Play To Win the Game". On repeat.

Yeah I'm not saying he needs to break stuff, knock the podium over, drop the mic and rip the fiberboard wall behind him down, but come on coach, give us something. It really sounded like he was phoning it in.

We need a good draft pick...I hope we don't play our way out of one

Not sure the could fight their way out of a wet paper bag right not. Top 10 pick is money.

Mike, the wife and I actually turned the game off and started to clean my dump of an office up for the 4th quarter (wanted to feel a sense of accomplishment instead of wasting an hour).

How bad was it? I know a game can look and feel better or worse live and in person.

Mark my words, by the time we play our last game at Atlanta, these 2 teams are going to try everything to lose the game. Have no fear..we will win and drop about 8-10 spots in next years draft. Sound familiar??? It should because thats exactly what we did last year against Tampa.

It was never a contest. Me & Kajun Kookin were betting on how many plays it would take the Texans to get into the endzone.

-- It was like, if the cops came, they might have said nothing happened, because there were no signs of a struggle. I'd be surprised if anyone had
a bruise, or a scratch.

-- The O never had a chance. A few freak accident competions, no rhythm, and when we came close to rhythm, we'd call time out or just stop. I remember the 2nd to last drive, JJ Watt was on the big screen sucking air. If we hadnt called timeout, our next play would have been vs. a winded defense, and we gave them a nice timeout and breather.

-- The score should have been worse, and im surprised we got the FGs.
One of the worst Saints performances ive ever seen. They never showed up.

-- the tailgate rocked. I played shutdown corner vs. some kids, but ended up with re-injuring a hamstring I did running on Westheimer last week. Saints fans showed up en masse. You could not tell we are having such a pathetic year, by our numbers, and our spirit.

I actually can't see us winning another game.

I have no idea how we won 4 games, 3 of them in a row!

I'm with Hagan...I was looking for a 'Mora Moment', too. "We couldn't do Diddly Poo...we sucked today." At least that would have been honest from him. We didn't score a freakin' touchdown.

Yesterday was like a 1985 5-11 Saints team flashback with zero offense except Morten Andersen and a bottom-of-the-league defense. Sorry, but it's what I saw with our offense against that HOU defense.

A "good" offense can score against a "good" defense. Period. We are not a good offense...not anymore. IDGARA what the stats say.

Reminds me of the days when I was married to my first wife when we watched football games, usually Vikings or Saints. If it got completely out of hand, I handed her the remote and told her to turn it to the ice skating.

So all that tinkering around with kickers did result in a 57 yarder. Slow clap.

Payton's presser's rarely seem emotional, my favorite line is always,"we'll have to look at the tape", I would hope by now they'd quit filming this refuse. I want a Mora moment, just one, just one please!

Payton is in for real culture shock if he goes to a market like Dallas, Miami or even New York; New Orleans media is generally a rubber stamp kinda deal...

Agree 100% -- I used to live in New York (for a spell); some of the stuff Payton has said, the media up there would absolutely put him on a spit, roast him and then EAT HIM ALIVE. Take "he has a knee" for instance -- some writer at the New York Post could grab hold of that, make a whole COVER JOKE around it, hound him at the press conferences, keep bringing it up, and make Payton into the laughing stock of the WHOLE TOWN. I've seen it happen many times. Payton would never get away with half the stuff he gets away with at the podium, if he were in a major media market with tough or even just knowledgeable reporters. He'd be skewered, disemboweled, and his entrails used to predict the next coach's season, before you knew it.

He's been to Dallas and was with the Tuna up in New York. The Miami connection could be suited for him nicely. Remember he spends time
with his friend Jimmy Johnson at the Big Chill fishing and learning the correct way to chew Juicy Fruit.

The Saints were fighting for their lives. I am pleased they were not fighting for mine.

I'm not ready to throw Sean Payton under the bus yet. He took this team and turned it around once. I believe he can do it again. We had a good offseason and have a great foundation laid for another good run. We are young and may struggle the rest of this year but I'm not giving up yet.

Payton doesn't need to vent in public in order to turn this around. He needs to stay focused and make sure the ship stays afloat before we put her in dry dock for a make over in the offseason.

Boss, he wasn't the one at the podium then...

Stand by my statement, if Payton geauxs to another market, his head will implode...
