What? No Brandon Browner thread?

Is it because "Saints win" or did he clean up his act for one game? He did set a dubious record,.

New Orleans Saints CB Brandon Browner ties NFL penalty record

TAMPA, Fla. -- New Orleans Saints cornerback Brandon Browner tied the NFL record for penalties in a season on Sunday.

Browner was called for holding in the first quarter, marking his 22nd penalty in 2015, tying offensive tackle Chester Pitts, who had 22 in 2003 ...

We can tolerate A holding penalty.

Its when he's called for multiple, blatant infractions AND gives up huge chunks of yards or TDs.

Yesterday was acceptable.

It's because he played less yesterday (finally) and Kyle Wilson managed to out-bad him. But Browner did have that penalty, and he also dropped the easiest interception opportunity he might ever have. His reaction to the ball as it was coming to him was almost like someone had thrown a grenade with a baby attached to it. He looked very confused as to whether he should try to catch it or not.

On a side note, I suddenly noticed that there are a crap load of "tags" below of all the penalties in association with Browner. I don't know why, but that cracked me up pretty good.

Brandon Browner has actually been called for every single one of those in his career, at least once, :D ... Brandon Browner Career Penalties | Pro-Football-Reference.com ... the guy is a baller!

Boy, is he ever. I like the tag that says "offensive". I agree, he is very offensive.

He played less but when he was in, the poor to borderline bad play was noticeable, and I was found I was more angry and more revved up at certain times where I knew the shoe was going to drop and something bad was about to happen.

And I actually fault Browner partially for the penalties on Kyle Wilson, because hey, that's your "leadership" of your team Captain that he was supposed to provide. I could tell Browner was mentoring him, what a great role model he is (rolling my eyes) --"hey, it's up to you to go out and get a ton of dumb and avoidable penalties, son, to keep the other team in the game -- attaboy, kid."

It's not quite as bad, but there was a period during the Haslett/Brooks years where I was like, "okay, I've seen enough of this, I know where this train is headed" and I just stopped watching the games. Still followed the team, but I stopped actually watching the darn things. I'd seen enough to know better. I was waiting for a change, and that change fortunately turned out to be Brees and Payton.

This isn't quite as bad as those days, but it's getting close. The team is clearly not going to get measurably better until Browner is gone, end of the story. It is what it is.

actually I think yesterday was a great example of getting flagged more because of reputation than actually being a bone head, ticky tac crap for the most part.

Anyone notice #39 was off the boundary yesterday? Caught a glimpse of him in tight on TE's. No wonder we allowed under 300 yards. That was almost as golden as having Ellerbe back out there.

Credit Dennis Allen for the needed adjustment.

One whole drive to the Tampon Yucs credited to the refs, unfairly so for us Saints Fans.
