As we approach the 2016 NFL Draft and postseason festivities are underway, it’s time we start taking a look at guys that could be flying under the radar a little bit.

Of course, there are always reasons for them going unnoticed at times…Illinois WR Geronimo Allison, a former transfer from Iowa Community College, is a player that I’m really excited about. Listed at 6-4, 200 pounds, Allison has a lanky frame, good deep speed, and a developing ability to create separation coupled with an already strong ability to make ridiculous catches.

Darion Griswold TE Arkansas State 6034 253 4.79 - I am not as enamored with him as many but he does have a solid skill set.

Chris Shanafelt of NFLDraftBible.com Discusses Darion Griswold at East-West Shrine Game

Darion Griswold has caught the attention of the NFL world.

Already on the radar of scouts, the former Arkansas State tight end has elevated his game in front of NFL scouts at the Shrine Game practices this week in St. Petersburg, Florida.

“I think he is a guy who has shown he can do it all and that is what the NFL wants from a tight end,’’ said Chris Shanafelt of NFLDraftBible.com. “To be honest he was not someone I knew a lot about coming into this week but he has caught a lot of attention.

“To me the thing that has stood out was his blocking and the NFL wants tight ends who can block. Most of the ones who play can block. There are some who are just receivers but all of the really good ones like Rob Gronkowski and Antonio Gates, they are blockers.”

Shanafelt, who also has a radio show in Chicago, said Griswold showed good hands and good feet during the week of camp.

“The Shrine game is usually for those guys who will be drafted on the third day,’’ he said. “I would say Darion has put himself in a position where he will be drafted. I think he has a good chance to go in the late rounds. Now he needs to have a good Pro Day and a combine.”

But you can sell me on him

Still liking
Round 5? D.J. Reader DT/OG Clemson 6021 325 5.04 - I see a Sr who missed his Jr for personal issues and tons of untapped potential.

Warming up to
Round 4? Charles Tapper, EDGE/DL, Oklahoma 6021 282 4.87
smart and dependable, with above average athleticism. Not edge burner but collapse, maintains gap integrity and understands the importance of setting an edge. Flexibility for a DL rotation is huge in a 43.

a couple of new names to throw out there 7/UDFA types

Terrell Lathan DE TCU 6035 280 4.82- want to talk wing span? I really just started digging into him. Not a sack master but he knows containment and setting the edge

Peter Mortell P Minnesota 6012 195 4.92 - Pulling a homer here.
74 punts- 2 TB-30 inside 20- 17 fair caught. overall average - 43.4 ypp.
Nothing phases him gets the kick of under rush pressure. The kid can do it all manipulate distance, direction & spin on punts. He may be an part of the answer for our cap issues. Ok JP you got me looking at Punters.

Joshua Perkins TE/HB Washington 6031 226 4.68 - athleticism sure, soft hands too, but to small for TE and not fast enough for WR needs a niches on special teams

I like what I'm reading about this guy. This team seems to draft lineman that can line up in more than one position so I might just keep a look out for any updates on him from now under May. Sounds like a good 3-4 round pick since this team needs better lineman

Derek Watt Wisconsin FB 6017 234 4.67

We may not have AJ but his bother has the skill set as FB Payton always seems to like, Mr Do Everything. He is a freaking Swiss Army Knife FB/RB/HB/TE Special teams you name it. jack-*of*-all*-trades player, but master of none. enough catch phrases the kid is simply a football player that will do anything to get on the field.
