"In talking to sources on the coaching staff in New Orleans, it's apparent the team wants to get bigger at defensive tackle and beef up against the run. Sheldon Rankins in Round 1 and a wide receiver in Round 2 is the current "best guess" from coaches. You cannot deny the raw talent and ability of Nkemdiche however do we have the staff to "coach him up"?? Since we rolled the dice on Fairley, I wouldn't rule out Nkemdiche or Spence at 12. Two more days until the draft .. two more days  .

I'm going to go over the CBs and Ss. Probably will lump them together(that is CB and FS). Since they can play either position.

I would rather have Austin Johnson in the 2nd and take DJ Reader in the 5th to shore up the middle.

Only did those that could go rounds 1 and 2 out of the big six.
1. He didn't look all that great against Bama but in many ways especially in conference play Bama is a anomaly. However, he looked great vs Ole Miss so much that he was not even matched up with Treadwell. 2. He got beat on a big TD, which is concerning. However, we was used as a DE/CB as well. I don't rank him ahead of Hargreaves. 3. It's a bit of a drop-off after this. Jackson's flaw is once in space he can't tackle. Otherwise he had two picks in this clip and that's something we could use. He got beat on a big catch by Wilson earlier but redeemed himself later against the same receiver. 4. This is someone who will not be able to be a outside CB in the NFL. He has to be converted to safety or nickle. 5. Don't like this at all. But it's better than his teammate. Decent but nothing great. 6. Just no, he looks out of place for a CB and he lost the one on one battle with Fuller, who I don't see being anything special in the pros. He allowed shorter catches but allowing catches period was our problem last year. He just does not stand out to me at all. Draft Round 1-Ramsey Round 1-Hargreaves Round 1-Jackson Round 1 or 2-Apple if converted Do Not Draft Round 2-Green Round 1or 2-Alexander |
