Drew Brees chasing the record books
 

Now that the season is over, let's look what Drew needs to be first all-time in passing yards and TD's. Below are the standings now:

Passing Yards
1- Manning- 71,940
2- Favre- 71,838
3- Marino- 61,361
4- Brees- 60,903
5- Brady- 58,028
If Brees plays 3 more years (he's 36 years old), he will need to average 3,645 yards to pass Favre and 3,679 to pass Manning (this is if Manning is done after this year).

Passing Touchdowns
1- Manning- 539
2- Favre- 508
3- Brees 428
3- Brady 428
If Brees plays 3 more years he will need to average 26 TD to pass Favre and 37 TD to pass Manning (considering if Manning is done after this year).

I think Brees finishes first in both categories.

If he plays 3 yesrs and Manning is done,he wont average the 37 needed imo

If we retain the Brees/Payton combo I could see him reach the yardage mark in 3 years. TDs will be tougher.
