Sean Payton explains New Orleans Saints staff 'shuffling'

When Dan Campbell was't retained by the Miami Dolphins at the end of the 2015 season, New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton saw an opportunity to add one of his favorite former players and a rising coaching star.

"He's just a hard worker and a real good teacher," Payton said.

The hiring of Campbell to be an assistant head coach and tight ends coach was one of a handful of moves that Payton officially confirmed Tuesday at the Senior Bowl.

"There's been quite a bit of shuffling, if you will," Payton said.

The changes occurred on both sides of the ball. Campbell's arrival pushed tight ends coach Dan Roushar to the offensive line, replacing Bret Ingalls, who was not retained.

He's still forgetting about the defense. :(

It seems pretty concrete that Allen is going to be the DC...

I was hoping for a base 3-4 defense, but I guess that'll have to wait.

One key thing that he said about Campbell is that he's a "good teacher". I have a feeling that Dennis Allen is the same. And I'll bet just about all that I have that Rob Ryan, while he may possess good knowledge, was a terrible teacher and lacked the skills to transfer that knowledge effectively to the players.

so if Vitt is being demoted does that mean he's back to impersonating a LB coach?
