Nice ploy. Rams, Jets, Houston, Buffalo, Cowgirls and Philly might all be in the market for one. Trade back and get a few extra picks.

Possible trade if the draft falls in line? Nothing wrong with giving the look as though we are aligned to take a QB. This could get vedi, vedi interesting by draft day :broccoli:.

Side note: I think Lynch has some game.

I think Goff is the next Brees. The kid is a stud. I really want A'Shawn Robinson in the 1st and Vernon Butler in the 2nd. 2 studs that would make a huge impact right away.

Gigging the Eagles?!? Maybe.

(Excerpt Scouting Report, Walter Football)

The bowl game against Auburn illustrated that Lynch can get rattled by a steady pass rush, which then negatively impacts his field vision and accuracy.

Sources have said that in going through Memphis, head coach Justin Fuente told NFL evaluators that Lynch was not as developed right now as Andy Dalton was as a senior at TCU (Fuente was Dalton's offensive coordinator). Fuente has told scouts that on the field from a football IQ and execution perspective, Lynch needs development. He said off the field, Lynch needs guidance for maturing into a professional and handling the status of being a starting quarterback in the NFL. Thus, Lynch is raw in a variety of ways.

There is no doubt that from a skill-set perspective, Lynch is a worth taking the chance on in the first round. Because of need, he will go in the top 25, but if you took need out of the equation, he would be more of a very late-first-round or second-round prospect. Sources from some teams have said they graded Lynch in the second round.

You think? NFL scouts at the combine are already critical on the kid. His hand size (9 inches) is concerning for a lot of teams.

We shall see.

Paxton Lynch is no way ready for the NFL. Needs to sit and learn as do any players coming out of a spread offense. Can he transition and is his mental capacity able to do it? thus the interview.

This is either a great ploy or an indication that our 5rd pick is a bigger project than we thought. that our a wasted pick.

time will tell.

still would rather Conner Cook. You need to adjust that gunslinger mentality he has. I still think he is the safest QB pick in the draft.

Just watch Goff and not impressed. Seems high on all his passes. Lynch is the guy!!!

I will make this bold claim and you may quote me on this as I will almost certainly be wrong. "There are NO NFL worthy quarterbacks in this year's draft. Suck it Cleveland, you shoulda drafted Carr when you had the chance."

Yes, Drew's job is safe this year.
