A straight up 1st is a bit steep, but the Jets cold always throw in a conditional mid rounder to sweeten the pot. He's in his prime, and he's a proven player. Is there a defensive player on the Saints that you'd give a 2nd contract to that is better than Wilkerson? If he was drafted by us, would you give him a huge contract for the next 5 years? I would. Wilkertson + fair contract > 1st round pick, especially if we can get a mid rounder to boot. He fits a specific need, he plays D-line. What am I missing? |
