Is that some say the secondary has not made plays because of the pass rush. And that our secondary is really talented. I would like to know how true this is?

Proofs in the pudding. I think once a bad pass rush establishes itself the secondary has to play back more because it's damn near impossible to play man/man while having then to cover for 7 seconds. There was almost 0 interior push. Cam Jordan, and Kikaha were the only one's really getting pressure. Also the idea of dropping Kikaha in coverage disgusts me as much as we did. Yeah once in a while, but come the hell on? Not too much intelligence on the defensive coaching staff thats for sure.

Lets see a big dollar FS that is always in the tub and no real SS to help cover up his weakness so he can maximize his strengths. A bunch of so-so SS trying to play FS that was almost comical at times if I was not crying so hard.

CB are looking pretty good. IR was a killer. But it did let a couple of player shine. Now there is the concussion concerns. But all in all pretty decent group to look forward to.

LB you gotta respect the moves so far. another group I am looking forward to seeing. Especially their effect on special teams. What will the rotations look like by season end?

DL? Lets be honest here after Cam it was all patch work up front held together with nothing more than hopes and dreams. We have a bunch of young bench players that logged way to many minutes as starters. You never know one or maybe 2 may have benefited from it enough to be a solid starter in the rotation. I think so

But the biggest improvement is Dennis Allen replace Rob Ryan. So till DA gets FA, draft, camp and a full season under his belt it will be fun to watch what happens. On the bright side it can not be any worse than what i have seen the past few years.

SS with coverage skills is still my top priority for this defense. that has not changed in years.
Big Butt in the middle is my number 2
Edge setting DE that has interior pass rush skill is number 3

I don't think that Byrd should be played as the center fielder 20 yards away from the line of scrimmage. I personally think that's the reason he doesn't get any picks, he's too far away from the ball the entire time.

Bring him a little closer and let him jump crossing routes.

Actually I think the saints should draft his replacement NOW! cut him loose as soon as cap vs dead money makes it possible. I want it so much I would risk trading up and drafting Jalen Ramsey. which would be pretty costly since he looks to be a lock in the top 5

it is a good year for safeties so desperation is not needed
