I'm starting to lose my patience with this FO

I hope like hell we don't sign Meachem, I still remember the Seattle game, when he could not keep going after that catch. We got no points on that drive.

If we don't want to draft a receiver early fine. But how about let's continue to get younger and not have some old guy complicating things for Snead and Coleman.

just wish these guys would stop over paying free agents and put incentives in these contracts to get them to perform instead of just showing up

We need 90 players to go to camp with. That means 37 players who won't make the roster. I think it'll be ok if we let Meachem have another shot.

This right here. Also since Meachem knows this offense inside and out he can function as a coach on the field.

After all this guy has done for the Saints, no harm in throwing him some work.

Exactly. If you've never played football, and I'm not talking about when your head and helmet were bigger than the rest of you, but real football, you'd never understand the importance of the choreography of a well organized practice...

Having players who understand and can demonstrate to rookies, drafted and free agent, as well as acquisitions the demand plays, routes, schemes can be invaluable and can allow the coaches to cover more ground quicker than if say a new staff trying to install a new system...

Signing a vet to a league min doesn't mean Meach is replacing Colston...

Sounds like you're a passionate fan that's letting the anticipation of the draft get the best you...

If the Coach Payton tenure has taught us anything, that's that inferring the logic between FA vet signings and draft picks is as easy as understanding the logic of a British spy web...

Nailed it. Twice.

Its not like we've announced that Meachem is our opening day starting #1 WR.

Its a longshot that he'll even make the team.

Well I know Cooks is number 1.

Meach ran a 40 time recently of 4.40 something, faster than the receivers in this draft class. But the thing with Meachem is not his speed, it's his hands and speed in traffic.

From what I hear he won't be cutting into Coleman's role but that just means Snead will when Meach is on the field.

But maybe this is more of the try to lose plan you had suggested in that other post? Hmm, hmmm, are you my friend Danny?

Give Meachem a chance; if he's good enough to beat someone out in camp...

How can you think competition is a bad thing? Meachem will play hard trying to take someones spot, someone will be playing hard to keep his spot. We'll get the best out of all involved. And that is bad how?
