Sunseri Waived
The New Orleans Saints waived safety Vinnie Sunseri on Monday after two injury-shortened seasons.
Sunseri, a fifth-round draft pick out of Alabama in 2014, played in nine games as a rookie before suffering breaking his arm. In 2015, he suffered a knee injury in the preseason and spent the entire year on the injured reserve. The Saints also waived defensive end Tavaris Barnes on Monday. Sunseri, 22, tore his ACL in his junior year of college at Alabama but still opted to enter the draft with a year of NCAA eligibility remaining. After Sunseri's release, receiver Brandin Cooks is the only player remaining from the Saints' 2014 NFL draft class. Cornerback Stanley Jean-Baptiste and linebacker Ronald Powell were waived last year. Linebacker Khairi Fortt didn't make it through his rookie season. Offensive tackle Tavon Rooks spent his rookie year on the practice squad but was waived after the 2014 season. |

I don't believe we'll have anymore terrible drafts while Jeff Ireland has a say... I'm using the 2015 draft as a reference, we had a pretty decent one
