The NFL is changing fast. I wouldn't be surprised if we soon have a "Saints are leaving New Orleans" reality in the next decade or so. Just reality. Putting International cities in the mix will hurt a small city like New Orleans. And as the NFL adds large cities like London, competition for the Super Bowl will increase.

Maybe this is a pessimistic attitude towards it but I don't see much positive coming from a 41 year old stadium in the NFL. And there are not enough tax payers in New Orleans to support a new stadium. Sad but probably true.

There is no need for a new stadium, the stadium is a part of the city's skyline and a landmark. As we speak they are renovating the video boards in the Dome just don't think it will be enough to get another Super Bowl which is ridiculous. The NFL has become a league where they reward cities with new stadiums so it will make owners hold cities hostage to build a new one.

I'm really hoping and praying that the worse blizzard ever hits Minnesota the weekend of the Super Bowl just to ruin the event and make these idiots realize that the event needs to stay in warmer climates

Your statement is plausible but not possible. Renovations on the Superdome have risen to over 400 million over the last 10 years and as the Superdome is on the National Register of Historic places will remain an Icon for the World to see. While cities choose to build bright new stadiums the Great People of Louisiana have honored their past as their future and the SUPERDOME will remain the brightest light of them all. There is no place like New Orleans in the World. New Orleans is more of a travel destination than Chicago or Boston or even Miami and always will be. New Orleans is and will always remain one of the greatest cities in history and the future.

You know, the Red Sox have played at Fenway Park since 1912...

It's not necessarily how old, but keeping the amenities and media interaction on the modern front...

And as the Grand Old Girl gets older, there's something that can't be bought, history and nostalgia...

But as long as the Gulf South thrives and actively supports its team, can't see this team leaving...

With Saints pushing east and Tampa pushing north and west, and Atlanta to the north, well...

Jacksonville has a much more limited market and could use a larger market...

And the Raiders are looking for something better than that dumpster fire called Oakland...

I guess we should have seen this coming. I wondered why they poured so much money into renovating the dome. It was probably based on emotions after Katrina. It was symbol for rising from the ashes. Now the NFL is a joke. Trying to intimidate cities into building new stadiums, having teams in other countries, it's a big joke. It is all about the money & I am sick of it. It seems you can't find loyalty anywhere any more.

Unless we are playing in the Superbowl, I don't care.

So is the Astrodome. Even better it was one of the World Wonders. :) But don't let my pessimistic attitude change your mind. I admire your fortitude.
