JJ Watt is the best defensive player in Football. Saying someone belongs on the bench because they got beat by JJ Watt is like saying somebody belongs on the bench because Lawrence Taylor torched them.
Thankfully, we have Sean Payton, who knows what he is talking about.

It's miss not sir. There are females on this board hence the screen name NonieT. Strief is old, slow and gets injured a lot. Age as caught up to him and he needs to be upgraded. You are welcome to your opinion, however I have mine and it isn't anymore wrong than yours. If Strief is the starting RT tackle he will get Brees killed. The bench is where he belongs. Let him go block that.

He didn't beat Armstead. Reason he went back to the Rt side. He couldn't get past the LT tackle.

Why do people always forget this part?
If Payton thought Peat could beat out Strief, we probably would have drafted a guard, but we didn't.
So, tomorrow let's go back to being great at our jobs, and trust that Payton knows what he is doing at his. (for references, check nfl.comteamstatsoff)

But but but........Watt does that to every RT.

He didn't know what he was talking about last offseason thinking the OL was fixed.

I think it's honestly best to move on from long time players so that things are positive before things become nasty. Like it was with Colston. I felt bad wanting him gone and didn't want him to go out the way he did but the team didn't see the warning signs.

Streif is in his 30s, he's at the point of decline.

So Kelemete was the problem? How does Peat keep Watt from getting to Brees when Peat isn't assigned to Watt? Or in this year's case, Mack who's probably going to be Watt-level good this season.

I agree. Strief catches way too much grief. He is an above average player and the definition of a team first kind of guy.

Our worst OL last year was Evans, who played RG, who we cut
