we aren't doing anything in FA. We obviously have targeted him and are enacting a plan to have the number one pick next year and draft him. Brining in Gs, and RBs, and TEs while our defense was 32nd? Brilliant. And some fans are even backing it. Oh man, this front office is good. Very good. And very clever. And saavy. But I figured them out. Matt Leinart is who they really want, and by gosh they will do everything they can to get him. You go Saints!!!

dang whodi, hate to pop anoter of your endless bubles of enthusiasm... the 49ers are taking him in the supplemental draft to go with Cedric Benson. LOL

Yeah but in all likelyhood they\'ll trade the number one pick to the Patriots(who win the SB again)for their first rounder and Marquise Hill. :casstet:

Not gonna happen Kelley. Matt isn\'t going supplemental despite rumors, although if he does, we will show the 49ers our roster and coaches, and trade them our first next year for their supplemental pick and get him. Trust me, we will make this happen.

GT, not gonna happen. I have faith they are doing everything they can to get Leinart, and will not be deterred.

ya know, seriously, if they ain\'t gonna make any real push and go for it, then fock it, i would rather see a major overhaul/rebuild than another 8-8 on the brooks driven roller coaster.

okay here we go to start...
brooks for arizona\'s 2nd and 3rd round this year, 1st next year and cade mcnown
horn for vikings 2nd this year, 3rd next year, and mewelde moore
deuce for indy\'s (they trade james) 1st this year, 1st next year, and 1st in 2007 (like NBA trades)

=this year pick #16, 29, 40, 44, 53, 75, 80 in first 3 rds
2006- 3 first rounders and additional third round pick
2007- 2 first round picks

mcnown dukes it out for mcmahon for starting with a choice young qb in training this yr or lenhart next (with 3 1sts for dealing)
mewelde moore, stecker and ron dayne rotate until another studly runner takes over
all youth wideouts stallworth and henderson

draft this year snags #16 thomas davis ss, #29 kevin burnett olb, #40 khalif barnes ot, #44 brodney poole fs, #53 andrew walter qb, #75 mike nugent k, #80 louis castillo dt

there are other older guys i would move but don\'t think you could get anyone to take outright cuz of the overpaid contracts (conwell, gandy, etc.)

We won\'t trade up for a number 1 or 2 pick this year. We will stay right where we are and when our pick is up we will pick the best player out there, regardless of what pos. he plays.

hahaha. I love it. But we aren\'t THAT saavy. blowing FA and tanking the season seems an easier way to Leinart than making all those deals.

But man that would be Madden type fun.

U are seriously overvaluing our players.

Brooks is probably worth a 3rd at best right now.
Horn about the same because of his age.
I love Deuce too, but 3 firsts???

And it\'s Josh McCown on the Cards. I don\'t even think Cade McNown is in the league anymore.

Yes we need Ot, Lb, and Dt, but an upgrade at te is not a bad idea....after we fill the main needs. A RB is just plain foolish.!!!!!!
