RFA Linebackers

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Ok here are a pair of guys who are RFAs, which means a deal for them may take longer, and we, perhaps, wouldn't be having come visit right away: (1) Will Witherspoon (2) Scott Fujita I'm thinking cutting a deal ...

I'm thinking cutting a deal for Fujita wouldn't be a bad idea. I'd be willing to part with ?perhaps? a 3rd rounder for him. Does anyone know what KC might need to part with this guy?

If they sign Hartwell... a 5th rounder. He\'s not great and I\'d rather sign Matt Stewart or obtain Witherspoon.

Fujita report:

Sounds like a good player to me. Of course, I\'m getting back on the Hartwell bandwagon for now (until I hear from Danno that that is not ok).

Fujita is solid, I don\'t know Hartwell but I hear a lot of good things from others. Maybe we can give KC a draft and convince them to take Tebucky Jones????

Hartwell: \"Fri Feb 18 2005 - Hartwell has good size and enough power to shed offensive linemen. He can play either in the 4-3 or 3-4, although he\'s better against the run and might need to come off the field in passing situations.\"

I\'m ho-hum on Fujita. I think he\'ll never be more than average... I could definitely be wrong. The guy just doesn\'t do it for me. That said - I\'ll take anybody right now just so long as he plays LB!!
