someone messed up royally. This could have been a good move. I'd like to be a fly on the wall when the **** hit the fan.

I think it may have been a play to divert other teams attention away from someone they really want.

Why? Worth a look to see if he might be able to compete for backup to the clipboard holder? Yeah. I wouldn't classify it as a solid snag, though. He is nothing more than one of about 30-40 QB's with no shot of ever being a starter that will most likely not make the final cut or may sneak on to a practice squad somewhere.

The guy was a leader in SC and willed that team to a 27-5 record in three seasons. Without him they do not win 27 games. And they have not had a 10-2 season since.

Learning behind Brees and having that leadership would have been huge. Too bad he won't learn much sitting behind Cutler.
