Law, Rolle, Smoot, and Dyson are all still available! I find this hard to believe. The value of your #1 CB is quite high in a good defense.

This is a pipe dream, but the longer these guys stay on the market, the cheaper they'll get. I can't help but salivate at the idea of any one of them in Black and Gold.

Speaking of FAs, did anyone notice that Brown and Craft are both UFAs! We may actually need a CB! Hey Loomis, resign one of these two (or go get me a stud CB)... Do it!
If we could get a LB (maybe Hartwell or Witherspoon), trade Howard's contract (and Howard) for Darius (who will be cheaper than Howard), can we afford one of these guys!?

I'm going to stop dreaming soon, but for now, I will imagine it is possible!

I think Dyson is more in our price range, but he ain\'t no slouch. And he is young also. I would love to get that guy. Smoot, Rolle, or Law may be pipe dreams, but you are right, they ARE still out there, and the closer the draft comes, the more they will feel the squeeze oh having to get a contract done. Looks like this year\'s FA has changed from last years. CBs were getting all the money last year, but defensive rule changes have put a stop to that. LBs are getting the money this year, all the better for us though. At least get Dyson, then we can get DT or S in the draft and look at one of the young QBs as high as the 2nd round if warranted.

I am also getting the feeling we will trade Howard for picks more than for Darius. Darius already makes 5 mil, and wants a big contract. That may be the hold up, working out a new deal for him. We\'ll see how that shakes. HE is also 30. He won\'t be at his current level much longer. I would prefer Thomas Davis, so we would have a Roy Williams type safety, but we will see.
