McCune is a sleeper LB rising on most boards, 4th to 8th of OLBs, 3rd or 4th rounder imo, could move up to 2nd-
6-1 245 4.5 40yd
Strengths: Amazing speed for the position...Great size...Very strong...A defensive playmaker...Has been very productive...Has a ton of potential.
Weaknesses: Still raw and has a long way to go in terms of learning the nuances of the position...Lacks consistency and doesn\'t always play up to his ability...Will be a 26-year-old rookie in 2005.
Notes: Member of the National Guard who served a six-month stint in Kuwait and another year in Korea...True workout warrior who will really impress teams physically leading up to the draft...Could go higher than you may think due to his physical tools and upside.

LeFors is a Louisiana boy, might make it in the first day, otherwise, not a bad second day pick-
6-0 208 4.53 40yd
Strengths: Good athlete with excellent mobility to scramble and make things happen when the play breaks down...Very accurate passer with good timing and touch...Doesn\'t make many mistakes...Has all the intangibles you look for and is a team leader and field general...Has the \"It\" factor that all the great ones possess.
Weaknesses: Vastly undersized in terms of a pro prospect...Arm strength is subpar and will become more of a problem at the next level...Durability could be a concern due to his size and style of play...Will need to be in the right system to even have a chance.
Notes: Father, Mother and Brother are all deaf...Had an incredible senior season and will get a shot in the NFL but just doesn\'t have the physical tools the pros look for...Could develop into an excellent backup.

I think Mcune will be there when we pick 40 and I think he\'ll be worth it esp. if we get extra picksa nd go linebacker int he first.

Who ever wrote the profile on LeFors should really take one side or the other...

One minute he has \'\'it\'\' and has all the intangibles, then the next minute ..he has a very weak arm, vastly undersized...and will have to be in the perfect scenario to even have a prayer?...

Sounds like he can\'t decide what kind of Qb this kid is...

I have never seen him play, or even heard of him until now...Would the kid be worth a 3-4 round pick?...we sure could use a QB with \'\'it\'\'...haha

McCune doesn\'t sound so bad though....has anyone actually seen either one of these guys play?

I like Mccune\'s bio, but \"raw\" is not what I want for any player we draft any more. I would rather draft Burnett or Morrison in the second. If we don\'t go LB in the 2nd and McCune is there in the 3rd, fine. But we don\'t have the luxury on spending ANOTHER second round pick on a player who will sit for a year and not see the field. Those days have to be over for us draft wise.

well take into account he guy served in the army in a war zone and still found time to work out....

I think if the pick were right I say get him.

I am not concerned with what he did in the military. Larry Izzo was in the army wasn\'t he? I am concerned with the fact his learning curve at the NFL level may be too vast. If we had 3 starting quality LBs in front of him, great. But we don\'t. If we get a Hartwell, which we prob won\'t. I would also be for it then. But with the young linebackers and flakes we already have, I want someone more proven. Besides, we already had Stinch and Henderson on the bench from the 2nd round. It\'s getting too deep over there. Like I said 3rd round if we have covered other needs, great. But not the 2nd. Unless we somehow trade and get an extra 2nd.

lefors profile sounds right to me, not all the tools or physical gifts but great intangibles. a guy that can go a lot further than the package he is in. the antitype of an aaron brooks. a decent second day prospect.

mccune at third looks about right, 4th would be a good deal.

Good work LK.

McCune sounds like a 3rd rounder to me, though - not a second.

LeFors ya say... hmmm.

Get \'em, do it.
