I didn't like the pick. When we picked him last year I was like "who"?
There were guys on the board that were better than Peat.

That said, I hope he proves me wrong.

We need to give Turner a shot with the starting unit. Neither Lelito or the other guy is the answer. At least in Turner we know he can run block.

Re: Well it's over guys

TURNOVERS are EVERYTHING.

Get rid of the fools either turning the ball over OR creating the opportunity for the defense to create the turnover.

TWO MAJOR THINGS...
First.. the defense looks improved but who knows how many injuries it will take to hit major suck mode.

Second.. Payton has used only BS offensive plays. He ain't showing anything. The offensive plays are meant to fail. That will no doubt change in Game 1.

Was he bad? Hell yeah, he was that bad...

But Armstead was out and he was at LT, then he moved to RG, then he moved to RT to spell Strief, then he moved to RG, then back to LT...

How many of you mail room clerks could handle being moved from the 3rd floor, then the 15th floor, then the 9th floor with no mistakes within a two week period?

Let him stay at one position for two weeks, then judge...

The guy came in great shape this season and was playing well at LT to all the shuffling started...
He's had two off-seasons, and a regular season to work at different positions. Lot's of young players get moved around, and offensive line isn't exactly an overwhelmingly cerebral job, no matter which position. Yes, there are certain assignments, but compared to other positions there aren't as many things to learn.

You have to be strong, quick on your feet, take proper angles and use your leverage, etc. He's been bad at all of the fundamentals everywhere he has played. At some point, you just have to admit that the guy is struggling. Unfortunately, I'm not surprised, but I hope he gets it together. That line is by far the weakest link on this entire team, and he still doesn't look like he's going to be able to crack the starting lineup. That's not real good.

If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

Whoa Halo! Take it easy! I don't agree with your statement at all!! If anything, being a Saints fan gives you plenty of excuses to really hit the sauce.

Good hell....Don't listen to him Smash. He's just posturing!

Re: Well it's over guys

The guard play is abysmal. Anyway, back on topic........I think our young corners have a bright future.

The safeties look better than average.

The line backers are as athletic as any group since the Dome Patrol.

Even without our 1st round draft pick our defensive line is getting in the back field on a consistent basis and creating pressure on the QB.

If we can get this unit cohesive in a hurry then we've got something special happening here. I believe we can hold opponents scoring drives down better than we have in a long long time. It's hard to believe but the defense carried the offense last night.

I asked you specifically who else on the oline is shuffling like Peat, and you don't have an answer

Re: Well it's over guys

I have no idea if Peat will bust, but the constant moving all over the place can't help, can it? I do not see anyone else on the line doing this.

And to be clear I am not defending him. I have no stake in the game other than the Saints fielding the best line we can. I just don't understand the idea where he is concerned
