Exactly. It could have been worse. Guido just likes to argue . If you tell him the sky is blue he will say no it's gonna be Brees.

He got hurt on a freak play that could happen with the best line in the league. He came back after one week and didn't come close to getting hurt again. I repeat, the line was good enough to be the eighth highest scoring team in the league and with an improved defense that can only get better.

And if you are also basing your belief on the preseason, don't forget that the Patriots, Steelers, Texans and Ravens are among the best defenses in the league. The Saints with backups at at least one position every game gave up no more sacks than half the teams in the league. They aren't as good as what we got spoiled on, but they are not as bad as some of you let on.

0-4 there. Going against the Ravens 2nd string, Patriots have improved since game 1, Texans without Watts and Pittsburg manhandled us wheather it was vannilla or not. Brees needs to step up to throw. No time= no win.

And how many of those plays in those games had what will be our starting five? Possibly none? As much as you want to hate, you don't have any idea what they will look like until they take the field for real all together. Although, at this point, I wouldn't doubt it if they looked great you would still be claiming that they suck.

He agreed to a two year extension. 44 million and some change. Fully guaranteed. Looks fair to both parties.

Curious to see the rest of the details. What this does do is gives them another year to work out another extension, at least.
