Justin from Jacksonville: Any realistic chance the Jags could deal Darius to the Saints for Darren Howard? If that came to fruition, how would you grade the move?
Vic: That would make no sense at all. Have you considered how much money you would have tied up on the defensive line? Have you considered that two of those players, Marcus Stroud and Darren Howard, would be on one-year contracts? It's not just about getting the best personnel. It's about making it work on your salary cap. Haven't we learned that, yet, from New England? Acquiring Howard would represent a salary cap and contract disaster.

Man!! That\'s strong. Sounds like Howard is here to stay. Hope he stays well this year.

Yeah but that\'s just for Jacksonville, who already signed Hayward(top FA DE) and have Stround and Henderson. It makes NO SENSE for THEM to do it, but there may be other teams who can use Howard, like Cleveland, or San Fran.

Howard\'s staying... and I\'m happy to see it. You will be too, just wait and see.

No way Howard stays. If a team meets our demand, he is gone. I would be happy if he stayed but I ain\'t happy with his salary, and I ain\'t happy that Charles Grant will be commanding the same if not more in a year or two either. I am happy Howard has shown enough that he might be able to get us a decent LB in return though.

You know if you and WhoDat were more positive you\'d see that we REALLY NEED Howard to stay. He could double up and be a wide receiver and replace Pathon. Then he could also try to be an H back and even kick field goals. The problem is that you are just not POSITIVE enough about the Saints. I, on the other hand, love the Saints. They can make no mistakes. AB is the savior and I know that I said that he was an idiot in other posts, but really I have rethought the whole thing and see that I was really not being positive and correct, so I\'m reversing myself and telling everyone that 8-8 is super since all of the players had \"great stats\" and showed improvement in the last 4 games so we have a great chance to go 8-8 again and that makes me happy and positive. So THERE!!!

Okay RDOX, I don\'t know what that post was in retaliation to, but I got a laugh out of it.

That\'s why I posted it. I\'m trying to get into the spirit and be \"more positive\" and not be a \"postal Hater.\" But I figured that it\'d make you laugh. Have a great day.
