Gus Frerotte

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I recall someone mentioning his name as coming in to back up Brooks. I heard the Dolphins have made him an offer, he hasn't accepted yet. Going to be a toss up who starts for the Dolphinf Feely or Frerotte......

Frerotte is so 1998....we need young blood at the QB position to develop to replace Brooks(either sooner or later)...not another retread that will just rot on the bench anyway.

We do not need a Gus -- I would personally rather have old man Brad Johnson

How\'s he a bust? This guy is a solid qb and I\'ve always been a fan of his. Over the past couple of years, even spot start he\'s gotten, he has performed very well. The guy has a good arm and if want someone to push AB and not come expensive, this is a guy to consider. By no means is he any type of long term franchise qb like AB (potential), but he\'s capable. Scott Linehan loves this guy and I\'m pretty sure he will either stay in Minnesota for over a million a year as a backup, or go to Miami to content for the starting job there.

Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.

All little common sense goes a long way.
