Re: Saints close to getting injured defensive players*back

I don't expect to see either of them in for more than a handful of plays this week. Of course Rankins probably has a better chance to play more of an extended role because he's been practicing the last couple weeks.

I think they're gonna be careful with Breaux. But man how nice would it be to have Breaux and Moore as the starting corners with BDub and Crawley as the slot?

I hope Rankins lights the NFL on fire but as I've said previously, I don't have super high expectations for him this season after the injury. Prove me wrong Rankins!

Prove me wrong!!!!!

I expect to see some "growing pains" from Rankins however if you circle back to some of Coach Payton's recent sound bytes, this young guy already fits the bill and is a Pro's Pro & should make a pretty early impact.

The only other young player SP talked in that manner was Michael Thomas & we all see how he is turning out. If I recall correctly, prior to the injury Rankins started off on the 2nd team defense & leap frogged ahead of big boy Fairley & named starter (3 tech).

Look at this line up on paper ...

Kruger, Jordan, Fairley and Rankins. I'll be watching the trenches closely on Sunday .
