Lions outplayed us, but that officiating

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; The Lions outplayed us and outcoached us today and that is the reason they won. That being said, there were a few refs working the game today that have no business being a ref at ANY level in ANY sport. ...

Lions outplayed us, but that officiating

The Lions outplayed us and outcoached us today and that is the reason they won. That being said, there were a few refs working the game today that have no business being a ref at ANY level in ANY sport.

The play where Cooks was pushed out of bounds and the official kept the clock running before the half might have been the worst call I have seen all year, and I have been to 6 high school football games! I mean, he was right there on the sideline 10 yards away from the play and Cooks was never even close to going to the ground.

Officiating in NFL is getting very bad/corrupt in the NFL. It's reaching Tim Donaghy level. A part of me hopes some players or coaches start contacting refs at this point to get ejected/suspended. NFL needs to be put on notice the quality of officiating isn't acceptable anymore.

The officiating was as bad as our play today. Both were pathetic.

The DPI on Breaux was ridiculous too, he gave the receiver a jam at the line and the receiver ran an extra 7 yards and went down as the ball was thrown low. Then a flag flies...

But besides that, yeah we were completely outplayed by a team that has owned us for 3 straight years.

Lions run a great offense now. If it is Payton's time to go, Jim Bob Cooter might be worth a look.

SP may even blame GW at the Presser, he caused our letdown.
