Anyone hear where USC's Shaun Cody is projected? I've just heard first round. Is he better than Travis Johnson? Any input appreciated

THe highest I have seen him is #7 to minny and have seen him as low as the 22-25 range. I would rather have Johnson though!

If he could be there at 22-25, wouldn\'t you trade down and get an extra pick? Or is Johnson that good? I live in Utah and don\'t get a chance to catch many ACC games

I just read a report on him by Vic Carruci on NFL.com, too small and not strogn enough for DT at 292 lbs, too slow for DE. If he puts on weight he would prob be a DT, but i\'d rather Johnson who is a definite DT. OR MArcus Spears. HE is almost 300 lbs and strong. And he worked out well at DT during the senior bowl.

4. Shaun Cody, USC

Positives: Upper-body strength, change-of-direction skills, anticipation of snap, instincts, intensity, inside pass-rushing ability, use of height (6-4) to knock down passes … Figures to be selected in the bottom half of the first round by a team with a defensive scheme that could take full advantage of the strong contribution he can make as an inside pass rusher.

Negatives: Outside speed, weight (292 pounds) makes him a little too small to play tackle (his college position) and a little too large to be a highly effective end.

Yea we talked about him before, he\'s too slow of a DE and a bit small for a DT (at least with us). Remember Brian Young is also undersized and we wouldn\'t want to pair them up together. We would just be asking for trouble. Travis Johnson is a stud and it\'s between him and the Wisconsin DT that will go first. Shaun Cody will be a 2nd or 3rd rounder and it\'s probably Dan Cody from OU that some have seen go top 10 in some mock drafts.

Yo D-Buck Where at in Utah are you?

Clearfield. Dan Cody\'s stock is dropping quick. People are concerned with his depression he has battled the last few years. Erasmus James of Wisconsin is a DE. The 2 publications I have rate Shaun Cody over Travis Johnson. That\'s the reason I was curious

Shaun Cody is a hell of a player. I thought he was projected to play end in the NFL, but from those posts it doesn\'t appear that way. If we could get Cody in the 2nd round, I think he\'d be a great addition to the line. I watched a lot of USC games the past two years and this guy gives 100% on every play. Their line was dominating the past two years. I\'m not sure where Patterson, the other DT on the team is projected, but he weighs enough to play tackle. His problem is that they think he\'s too short, at 5\'11.5\".
