I haven't seen us connected to this player yet...

Safety Marcus Maye is another Florida Gator likely to be selected earlier than most project.

The senior had a great visit with the Dallas Cowboys last week and is receiving a ton of interest from the New Orleans Saints and Arizona Cardinals. The other team showing big interest in Maye is the New England Patriots.

Finishing up SS

So I have given the 40 time and the bench reps

Cone
Only Adams participated among the four with a time of 6.96, which was fourth out of seven.

Shuttle
Adams was first with 4.13. Again, the other three did not participate.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_c...&v=f8Rr5xX3TNE

He left a lot to be desired. He was not good in coverage and got burned on several plays. He did force one fumble and recovered it, so he can tackle well but I don't see the patience of Obi.

Vertical Jump
Menifonwu, Jones, and Peppers were all in the top three. Adams way down the list. Menifonwu was the only one above 40 inches at 44.00. Jones was at 37.50 and Pepper at 35.50. Adams was at 31.50.

Broad
Again, same top three same order. Menifonwu has a broad jump of 140 inches. Jones at 132 and Peppers at 127, indicating only Obi could jump 140. Adams was ninth at 120.

The bench reps may be the weakness but Obi Menifonwu is clearly in front here based on the tape and on the combine. Jones, because of the int return, gets second. I think Peppers rounds out the top three here. Adams combine left a lot to be desired and his tape showed he was clearly fourth. The FO could wait until the second round to address this as it clearly will not be BPA in round 1 as those up for round 1 are third and fourth.

1.Obi Menifonwu
2.Josh Jones
3.Jabrill Peppers
4.Jamal Adams

Next there is a hidden gem. One that is standing out in combine numbers and going in round 3 or later.

Those two are Montae Nicholson, Michigan State and Xavier Woods, Louisiana Tech.

Nicholson's 40 time and vertical puts him ahead of Woods here. Woods excelled primarily in the broad jump. Nicholson did not participate in bench reps.

Nicholson has no videos available for DB.

As for Woods
https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_c...&v=OwBLndqbYZA
He gets major points for getting that interception. He appears to not be afraid to battle with the receivers but after those early plays he was more of a read and react and he was on a Sun Belt team so his tackles came too late often. He lacks speed but for a third rounder he may be worth the development into something decent.

Comparing Nicholson to Menifonwu
In the 40 times, Nicholson trailed by just .02 seconds in fourth.
In the vertical, Nicholson trailed by 9 inches in fourth
In the broad, Nicholson trailed by 16 inches.

It is clear Menifonwu is the clear frontrunner

Comparing Nicholson to Jones
In the 40 time, Nicholson trailed by .01 seconds
In the vertical, Nicholson trailed by 2.50 inches
In the broad, Nicholson trailed by 8 inches.

Jones is second clearly.

Comparing Nicholson to Peppers
In the 50 time, Nicholson led Peppers by .06 seconds.
In the vertical, Nicholson trailed by .50 inches
In the broad, Nicholson trailed by 3 inches.

The stats are too close here, so I think jumps outweigh the speed here.

Now, comparing Nicholson to Adams
In the 40 time, Nicholson leads big by .14 seconds(4.42).
In the vertical, Nicholson leads by 3.5 inches(35.00).
In the broad, Nicholson leads by 4 inches(124).

Nicholson slots in fourth.

Comparing Woods to Adams
In the 40 time, Woods leads by .02 seconds(4.54)
In the bench reps, Woods leads by 1.(19)
In the cones, Woods is first overall with a staggering .24 ahead of Adams.(4.72)
In the shuttle, it is a tie for first place between the two.(4.13)
In the vertical, Woods leads by 2.50(33.50)
In the broad, Woods leads by 2(122)

Adams had a very bad combine.

Woods can be gotten in the third round, but Nicholson can be gotten in fourth or fifth.

4.Montae Nicholson
5.Xavier Woods
6.Jamal Adams

CB is next.

You're shootin' my draft list to **** with all these poor broad jumps!

Are they somehow related to the end zone celebrations?
