we let pathon go and now we dont want to sign horn?

if were not going to sign horn ( and im not saying that ) why would you let pathon go. you loose your two most experienced wo's in the same season. that doesnt make much sense to me. i think we will resign him. how can you do that. your left with a guy who hasnt done much ( gardner), a guy that wasnt hurt only one season and was just a number 2 (stall) and a guy that didnt play his entire rookie season(henderson ). well and a k/p returner

HORN IS STILL UNDER CONTRACT....

He\'s just trying to get another pay raise is all..He is still a Saint..

He likely won\'t hold out...

Pathon was cut for cap reasons and I do not believe they don\'t wanna sign Joe, I believe they don\'t wanna pay what Joe is asking for, and more power to them. If Joe gets reasonable, we will see him retire as a Saint. If not, see what you can get on the open market at 34 years old Joe. Peace.

well he is only 33 and i could understand why he wouldnt play the final year of his contract. he cant risk it. at the same time with his age he probally doesnt have a choice. but if i were him i wouldnt play with one year left on my contract. if you get hurt your done. if they can cut players before their contract is up then players have the same right to hold out

But, If he doesn\'t play at all this year..he doesn\'t get paid either...

He will be forced to play..Because he wants to get paid obviously, and I doubt anyone is jumping on the phone to sign him...So..The Saints are his only option...Either He shuts up and plays..or he goes home..without his paycheck...

He\'ll play...The Saints have been very genorous to his demands in the past...and with his age, and shortness of contract..there is no real reason to resign him...especially not to a top 5 deal...

Joe would get some calls, but not for as much as he is getting now and no where near what he is asking for. Horn\'s best bet is to sign the best deal the Saints are offering him and then retire and sign a network broadcast deal ala Shannon Sharpe. If he holds out he holds out it won\'t be the first time in Saints history (Bobby Hebert).
