It seems that the other owners are putting some SERIOUS money into their stadiums to ensure long term viability of their franchise and to maximize the potential profitability. They are also diversifying the venues to include other streams of revenue that aren't seasonal.

Is it my imagination that Mr. Benson doesn't know how to play in the professional sports franchising game?
