I just don't see us signing vets that are going to strap us down with cap troubles.

Big contracts on guys not QB nor your ironman-type offensive linemen (John Hannah, Steve Hutchinson, Anthony Munoz, Marshal Yanda, Willie Roaf, Zach Martin) are just booby traps to keep teams at Mendoza Mediocre line of 7-9...

Not a good sign when a visit ends with no contract.

90% of the time that player signs somewhere else.

I'd absolutely love to have him, but if his price was too high there are other options that will achieve our goals.

Don't agree with that, although it does happen often.

I'm pretty sure there are many free agents that visited other teams and ended up signing with their original team or a team that offered them more on a previous visit.
