Drew Brees calls Brandin Cooks trade “one of those unfortunate things”

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; There's no such thing as an X and a Z in our offense. There are multiple sets, multiple formations, and players have to know the entire route tree....

Exactly. Personal are interchangeable in our offence.

Deep threat is someone who can catch a long pass, not someone who can catch and keep going. Thomas wasn't the one hauling in 98 and 80 yard TDs last year.

Still blaming Cooks for a game that the offense has had a history of losing and struggling against that particular defense is nothing but an excuse to hate someone IMO.
Maybe you should contact PFF and let them know they are wrong about Thomas. Somehow, they got the impression that he's a pretty good deep threat.

Edit: Please keep us informed on how that works out for ya.

This is off topic but Blazing Saddles is probably one of the funniest movies I've ever seen in my life. The genius of Mel Brooks and Richard Pryor (writing) was Epic.

I didn't know Richard Pryor wrote for Blazing Saddles. Thanks K Major. I love this site.

Yep - and was Brooks' first choice for Sheriff, but it sure worked out with Cleavon Little in that role.
