Thoughts on our WR corp

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I'm curious to see how Coach Johnson can coach-up Coleman into a better WR. He's made some great grabs but the inconsistency makes this year a make or break one for him. Whoever has hands we can hope proves themselves ...

I'll be surprised if Coleman makes it through training camp.

I see it differently.

Brandon might be the best 4th WR in the league. I see shades of him putting his size to his advantage. Some would say he's turned a corner in New Orleans. I just don't think Coach Payton is looking to cut a young, cheap WR who has shown steady improvement. Now factor in Curtis Johnson as his coach.

Fuller could challenge him though .

I think it would help to bring in a veteran possession receiver like Boldin. If not we have to hope another Lance Moore-type emerges or it could be a heavy load on Thomas and Snead this year. I just don't see Ginn as a full-time weapon.

I'd prefer a player like Eric Decker (assuming he gets released). Good red zone option.

Almost 37 and likely sitting out of any training camps. Not going to work. As Colston said, have to put in the reps, master the routes.

Re: Thoughts on our WR corp

its time for brandon coleman to shed the diapers and get after a no#2 receiver spot reserved for him, needs to show in training camp that he will make the transition this year or he will be hacked down the line. but like a someone posted earlier that hes a cheap no# 3 or 4 receiver and mick and payton puts up with his inconsistencies , i like coleman he has progressed in the last couple of seasons and i'm calling him out the season , lets get it going bro. your payday is waiting.
