The stat chart shows JG played as good/better last season than he did in 2014 with us. Not the 2011-13 type of play but still more productive than what we have out there.

Ginn is doing way better than most expected and Coleman has looked like a receiver this year too.

Good point...forgot't about Ginn. Coleman is serviceable...he just does not have the "it" factor of Snead, Thomas, or Kamara.

Maybe we could dangle the AP pick we got and Honomanawui (sp?) out there? Wouldn't be a huge loss.

Re: Jimmy Graham return in 2018?

This sounds to me like one of those moves that the Saints front office dangles out there, to make sure that folks renew their season tickets for the next year. Because I can tell you that a lot of the people out there right now holding season tickets, are frustrated and are about to cancel and bail on the team (or at least paying to go to the games). There have been times before when the Saints/Loomis have signed a flashy overpriced big name veteran to appeal to casual fans in the "cheap seats," to sell tickets, and other times when they've reached out to "past Saints" and tried to get them back, for pretty obvious nostalgia and fan loyalty purposes. This would be a little of both.

But I think Jimmy Graham would be good fit for the team, since Drew evidently can't throw a ball more than 20+ yards down the field anymore (this was apparent in the Packers game, they were perfectly positioned to throw a Hail Mary to the end zone at the end of the half, but they inexplicably opted to throw a short screen to Ginn.)

Graham can certainly handle the short passes, 10 yards at a time. If that's all we have in the playbook, then I guess we need more of those type of guys to run and turn and catch and get tackled.

I would entertain the idea of him returning if the price is right. He would command a double team by most defenses which would give somebody man coverage or vacated zone area.

Brandon Coleman leads the team with 3 TD catches thus far. All of them inside the 25 yard line. At 6'6, BC has become the Saints TE in my mind.

For me, Fleener has been a disappointment in Black and Gold.

I think for everyone Fleener has been a disappoint. Hopefully Fleener knows he's a disappointment.
Again though he looked good in preseason. They just aren't using the TEs much. I guess Payton doesn't trust him to get it done.

A lot? Trump stats? A lot? What the hell does a lot even mean? More than can be counted on two hands? Do you seriously believe there are more ticket holders out there willing to not buy tickets next year on a current 4-2 team than there are people standing in line in hopes of buying them? Do you seriously believe that somehow ticket sales are anything but the cherry on top of the huge ice cream Sunday (literally) of cash flowing in from the tv revenues and such?

Maybe we could trade Thomas, Snead, Coleman and Ginn for him since that's the only player he'll throw to anyway if they bring him back.

Damn it's fun to rant once in a while!

; Your story isn't over yet ;
