Ginn has made a nice career off the backs of #1's. Thomas had some of that going on last year off Cooks but he has also improved his game so likely a push.

If I'm not mistaken, Thomas began drawing opponent's #1 as the season progressed. His production didn't decline at all.

Ginn Jr precise route running and hands will be the topic of conversation at camp. If he plays well ... brace yourself.

Interesting Head to head stat on Ginn vs Cooks in 2016 :

Brandin Cooks

Yards
Receiving 1173
Rushing 30
Return 2
Total yards 1205
-----------------------------------------
Ted Ginn Jr

Yards
Receiving 752
Rushing 98
Return 593
Total yards 1443

Special team yardard and field position TG Jr can provide will be golden. Even at the age of 32, this guy has a lot of good football left.

He will become one of the best WRs in the league.... he has the mentality to do so.... I don't think his ego will get in the way either (cooks) ... he can be a colston but better dare I say ? Let's hope he can stay healthy ! Excited for his future !

Colston will say he is the best receiver in the NFL very very soon.

I am tired of having "versions" of other players or other teams. Hopefully it winds up that other teams look for "versions" of Thomas.

Payton's "version" of seattles D blew.

Let's hope putting him at a heavier weight than he's ever played doesn't increase his susceptibility to injury.
