It was during bountygate. He was asked if he thought the accusations were true and that was his comment.

It was most certainly not Karney. Yes now that he has emerged as an NFL tv personality he is a homer but he said it none the less. And it wasn't a positive statement.

Yes, it was Karney.

Former New Orleans Saints fullback Mike Karney: “There’s a lot of evil in that organization”

Bounty Scandal, New Orleans Saints, NFL | Comments

Former New Orleans Saints fullback Mike Karney, who may have been one of the targets of the bounty program run by former defensive coordinator Gregg Williams, said he wasn’t mad about the alleged bounty placed on him, but had strong words about the Saints organization, reports The Times-Picayune‘s Jeff Duncan.

“Evil does not prevail,” Karney told Duncan. “Everything in life eventually comes back to you full circle. It brought them a Super Bowl championship (in 2009). But it also brought them a lot of bad baggage. There’s a lot of evil in that organization.”

Karney played for the Saints from 2004 to 2008. He signed with the St. Louis Rams in 2009, and it was during that season that the Saints may have targeted him. One of the PowerPoint slides that the NFL has used as evidence in its investigation showed Karney’s name, three photos of him and a negative description of his play.

If he was targeted, Karney says he isn’t mad and actually takes it as a “compliment.” He didn’t remember any specific incidents from the game against the Saints that seem suspicious in retrospect.

“I don’t recall anything where I thought, they’re trying to do something to me, they’re trying to blow out my knee,” Karney told Duncan. “Maybe the guys couldn’t act on it. The players weren’t the problem. Sean Payton and Mickey Loomis, that was the problem. I wasn’t their guy.”
K Major likes this.

"When you get into one of these groups, there's only a couple of ways you can get out. One, is death; the other, is mental institutions."
