Could this be the Saints' last season with Drew Brees and Sean Payton?

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Could this be the Saints' last season with Drew Brees and Sean Payton? Could this also be the Pats last season with Brady and Belichick? My guess is that Brees and Payton want to stay for 3 or 4 more ...

No, because they win. Every year. Give them 4 losing seasons in 5 years and they would be gone.
Saints go 7-9 again and one or the other if not both are gone.
Can't see us going 7-9 though.

Yeah, in all honesty I think we are better too, but if we fall flat again I think there's going to be heavy discussions about SP being released. He is fortunate, in some sense, because his contract is still fairly new. But yes he doesn't have much longer to get it turned around. I think this is the year it starts to get better...we'll see.

Not me I think drew sucks and won't last another year. Everyone will get injured and we will go 0-16.

So would you still want them after a couple more losing seasons?

I hope they stay along until I see improvement and we are winning. Anything less than that at this point and I'm ready to move on.

If Drew is happy with the progress and doesn't feel the need to find a winner somewhere else then I think Payton and Drew are tied at the hip. If we start slowly and fall apart then Drew might look at other options. This isn't the same staff from a couple of years ago.......we are headed in the right direction. If we could just catch a break and get healthy.......
