With 5,836 career completions, Brees is behind only Peyton Manning (6,125) and Favre. If Brees completes 465 passes this season, he’ll break Favre’s record. That’s definitely doable for Brees, who completed 471 passes last year.

Just imagine how many he will have when he finally retires in four or five years. He will hold the vast majority of all QB records. As a Saints' QB.

I still don't understand how this man is underrated by players, media and fans. It's ridiculous. Even by some of our own fan base. He's one of the most, if not the most, prolific passers in NFL history and a first ballot HOFer. An absolute phenomenon.

That's a real shame in more ways than one.

In reality, Brees is a first ballot HOF inductee, but in order for him to get in to the conversation about the group of greatest QBs of all time - he would probably need to win at least one more ring ...or two.

So, one this coming season and another the next ...and then a third one one the year after that just to be safe.
