To me i hold lb very high on having a decent defense. Yes they may be younger and faster but it doesnt mean they are better at all. Just means they have to learn the leauge and learn how to play together amd may have tje potential to be better. It all depends on the mentality of said players do tjey want it every week or play for that matter and tjat is what will make them or break them.like the old saying goes talent gets you fired its the results that make you winner or brands you a bust

Not a terrible article and speed and youth are great at most positions on a football team but IMO what we really need is a natural field general. We haven't had a MLB that fully commanded the defense or fully read and broke down offenses since Vilma. Post Vilma we've had moments where our secondary excelled, moments where our DL excelled, and maybe some games where our LB's held their own, or even did well, but we haven't had a maestro like a Mills or Vilma for a while. I can only hope we have someone that can step up in that role.
