I imagine this means he couldn't pass his conditioning test and he can be activated once he does. Not a good start though for a guy with a lot to prove.

Keep in mind, the media are not allowed to post live updates from practice until it's open to the public. So we'll be getting updates in the form of recaps in a couple hours.

I don't really believe him. He says it was about being available and cites him only being available for 17 games the last two seasons. PJ has been available for 1.5 games...which is it SP?

Not that I disagree with the move, just being honest. It isn't just about availability.

I understand today's practice is closed to the public (media only). This will suck for folks traveling long distances today. Can any confirm?

Didn't they know PJ was going to miss his first season when they drafted him? Or did he sustain it after he was drafted?

Listen to whole statement Spike...

With PJ, he was out, not taking up snaps in practice or a roster spot...

Ellerbe was always this will he or won't he in a week-to-week situation...

That is a significant difference in the development & advancement of the club...

PJ wasn't available for very tangible reasons. With Ellerbe it was multiple "minor" issues that were constantly creeping up.

No. but he missed the entire second as well. lol.

I don't do the whole apologist thing, I leave that to the other pathetics on the board. At the end of the day he and PJ were hurt and PJ missed way more time.

But hope 3rd year is the charm cause the dude has skills and pj, breaux, and lat could be a top cb tandem in the league

There's not other than age. PJ missed all but 1.5 games in 2 years. Again, I am not disagreeing with the move, I am just being honest. It is not all about availability. Same was said about KL. Again, PJ has played 1.5 games out of 32. You do the math
