I just read your article about the much-needed gut check for the Vikings' defense. While there is no question that the defense has held them back, there are a few of us diehard Vikings fans who feel that the Vikings will never take the next step until they address a very carefully hidden problem. Daunte Culpepper is the most overrated quarterback in the history of the NFL.

I disagree. I believe Culpeper\'s a talented quarterback entering the prime his career.

Who\'s more talented? Culpeper of Dilfer?..... The point is he\'s talented enough to get the job done, he\'s not what\'s been holding them back.

Defense is the problem in Minny.

Or was..... After that aggressive free agency (with 9 mil still available), well, I dunno. I wouldn\'t be surprised to see them in the big game this year.

Grass always looks greener on the other side. Minnesota fans DO watch him every single game. On the other hand, the fan may just be one of those never-satisfied fans.

How bout we swap Brooks for him...same difference, right? They\'re both top 10 QBs, wouldn\'t you say?

If they\'ll take Brooks for Culpeper, then I\'ll throw in a six-pack of Guinness to sweeten the deal. A keg even.

Hell, I\'ll even throw in Smitty\'s dog.
