Last month the Saints said they would release linebacker Dannell Ellerbe once he was cleared from a foot injury.
That has now happened...

This just in: Ellerbe was released by the Saints. While signing his release papers, he got a paper cut and will miss the entire 2017 season.

We have good LBs on this team now. Ellerbe is good. But he can't stay healthy. No use paying the man to sit in the tub half a season at a time.

Actually, he has torn ligaments in his hand and Oschner diagnosed it as a paper cut :)

It is what it is. Glad we got the production we did out of him last year
