Why Ted Ginn Jr is going to be great in New Orleans...

Interesting points. I predict great things for Ginn with Brees. :bng:

Ginn has stated he has a learning disability. He's a good WR but he will drop a higher % of balls and also have brain freezes on plays which will lead to sacks and turnovers. I'm not saying he's stupid either just that he's going to make critical mistakes at times. He will be about as good as Devry Henderson. Don't expect anything more. I'm just hoping they don't overload his plate with a bunch of roles because he's going to screw up more than most.

The author provided great insight on Ginn. In open space, TG Jr is a monster (see breakdown starting at 8:29). He ran past Watt like he was standing still & broke Clowney's ankles twice on one play.

Off the line, notice the explosion and ability to create space (Cooks struggled here) from the defender. If anything, Ted will bring back some firepower we are accustomed to on offense.

Not concerned with the drops (see Guido's stats in other post).

When he screws up though just accept it. Don't start complaining because I personally never wanted him on this team. He will make some great plays but he is also going to screw us big time now and then. It's what he does.

Time will tell but Brees will bring out his maximum potential.

My take on Ginn is this - he's always been overrated, less than reliable in clutch situations, and in no way replaces Brandin Cooks so obviously my expectations for him are low, very low...

That said, anything he does good will be golden and though he won't replace or come close to Cook's production, it's of no consequence because with or without, we have plenty of weapons...

So welcome aboard you overrated, Buckeye, enjoy your one-two years of letting Drew and the Saints give you the best years of your career until we replace you...There..

He's actually better than Cooks if you factor in age. No way Cooks will be as viable as Ginn at that age. Lb for lb Ginn is the better WR. Returns, decent slot receiver and will do pretty much whatever you ask of him with no complaints. Not going to get that with Cooks and one of reasons the Pats are looking under rugs to find viable WR's right now. Cooks only does one thing well. He sucks at returns and will absolutely not sacrifice his body for a catch. He will let it go until his speed makes it safe.

I always pull for the Savvy vet moving to a new location to pick up his level of play with new coaching. And we do have Curtis Johnson back as well. So that can only help Ginn get better at reducing his drops. Sean Payton will find a way to use him in space besides burning past the corners going for the deep ball.
