He just seems too fat and happy.

Anyone still wanting to trade Armstead? I don't.

Can't we utilize the roster spot that Adrian Peterson occupies for some more depth at Cornerback??

All due respect to AP, but paying him a salary and using a roster spot for him just so he can be a "decoy" rarely used in the offense seems like a waste of a roster spot.

I've echoed this the past few season so trust me... it's not an overreaction to a loss. It's sad to say but I haven't been excited about Saints football in quite a while.

I've felt the same way for a couple of years. As much as it stinks to say it, I find myself only starting to feel a little excitement (more like anticipation) when it's game day. It used to be that I couldn't wait, all week long.

I'm not in any danger of giving up on the Saints. I'll always be a fan. But this has gotten extremely predictable. This was the first time in at least three years that I felt optimistic about the defense, but I still needed to see it play out to know for sure. After tonight I am both disappointed and confused. I'm confused as to why we didn't blitz that leaky offensive line (I know the announcers were kissing their butts, but what honestly did they have to block, all night?). I'm confused as to why Devante Harris figured so prominently into our game plan, when there were more proven players available.

On offense it was typical predictable play calling, based on which running back was in the game. I know a lot of us have been saying that for years. When we made an effort to get the ball downfield, it sure seemed like the opportunities were there more often than not. What did we have to lose by opening it up, when nothing else was working? It was like watching Les Miles call a game. There's too much talent there to be so conservative. Frustrating.

Agree with every point... It's like we looked at all the good things in the preseason and just said "nah, going to try to do everything differently".

Harris starting on the edge wtf...
Not blitzing almost all game wtf...
Playing mostly zone coverage wtf...

Literally did the exact opposite of what we saw in the preseason. At least the offense looked the same in the preseason.

I couldn't agree with you more. Brees had defenders in his face. Offense bringing their Field Goal game to a Touchdown fight .... we've seen this before.

But our defensive backfield is like totally dependent on "When is Delvin Breaux coming back".... REALLY??

We have no depth at corners and we have picked poorly in drafts. The End.

As I said in the game thread, the game has passed Sean by. We haven't adapted to the 2010+ NFL, and it's already 2017.

Signing AP just to have him watch the game from the bench is like taking the prettiest girl at school to McDonald's on prom night. And if I am wondering in the 3rd quarter what Brees could do in an offense like the Vikings run ... yes, there's a problem.

You're absolutely right blackandgold. Can't disagree.

On the plus side, Lattimore and Anzalone looked great! Ramczyk looked good too for a rookie LT making his first start.

Re: Payton need to go?

Brees had that deer in the headlights look from the first snap...

Payton preached all off-season about balance, running the ball more...

He even signed Petersahn with other holes in the roster, especially O-line...

Abandoned the run game by the second series, playing to the strengths of the Vikings Pass Defense?

This is not smart Payton football...

From what I saw tonight, Minnesota will be hosting the NFC Championship Game...

And we just gave away Home-Field Advantage...

But, here's the problem I had/have with Payton tonight...

Payton's nature is to be aggressive - that's where he makes bread...

And to not go for the touchdown in the red zone on fourth down, not once, not twice, but three times?

Going contrary to his nature, that is what's bothering me right now...

And save this BS title thread for Week 12...
